The Baltonsborough Village Hall and Playing Field is open for hire:

• The main hall is 10 x 15m and has a maximum capacity under fire regulations of 130 for dinner, 200 dancing or 300 at a standing-only event. In our view, smaller numbers with more free space to move around will often work best. We are happy to advise prospective hirers planning mixed use events e.g. weddings, children’s parties, public events or theatre productions.

• Outside the main hall is a paved terrace suitable for BBQs and/or extra seating.

• The community room is 5.2 x 5.7m and will accommodate up to 40. There is an adjustable conference table that seats up to 16.

• The separate kitchen has a commercial electric oven, dishwasher and fridge, with plenty of worktop space.

• Please note: During Term Time on Tuesdays/Thursdays all day and Friday mornings the school have use of the hall and as a result there may be some extra noise. Please bare this in mind when booking.

• The playing field will accommodate a full-size, Football Association compliant football pitch, as well as a Somerset Cricket League standard cricket pitch. There are changing rooms and some storage facilities for match equipment.

• In the corner of the playing field is a children’s play park and zip wire.

• The playing field is also a great venue for outdoor events, such as car boot sales, outdoor concerts or the annual Baltonsborough Show.

• There are two car parks, one directly outside the hall with 29 spaces, 2 EV Charging Points plus 1 Disabled Parking Space. Our top car park has approximately 20 spaces.

• We have disabled access and toilet facilities, incorporating a baby changing area, and a defibrillator.

• We are actively working to reduce our carbon footprint with solar panels, EV car charging points and LED lights.

• We have designated ‘back to nature’ borders to the playing field and are planting new hedgerows to attract more wildlife.
